Archaeologist - Petaluma, Oakland or San Francisco, CA
This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in archaeology or anthropology and 5 years of experience (graduate degree preferred); be a Registered Professional Archaeologist and have strong technical writing and communication skills. You will assist project teams by preparing cultural resource studies and report sections in compliance with CEQA, surveying and monitoring for prehistoric and historic cultural resources, assessing site significance under CEQA/NEPA, preparing Phase I and II Cultural Resource Assessments for compliance with NEPA/Section 106 of the NHPA, including consultation with SHPO and Native American tribes, sacred lands file checks, and archival research. Some marketing and proposal development responsibilities. Paleontology capabilities would be a plus.
